It's that time again, BMW fans, BMW of Sioux Falls is back with more news from our favorite luxury automaker, and this time, we're seeing "green." No, we're not thinking about cash this holiday season (though we could certainly use some extra gift-giving funds!) We're talking about a new environmentally-friendly sports car: the BMW i8 hybrid coupe.

BMW enthusiasts hoped we could see most of the vehicle's camouflage come off during testing by the end of this year, but that doesn't seem to be happening unless the German auto brand decides to surprise us in the next few weeks.

The BMW i8 was first showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and it seems to have undergone quite a few changes since that time. Since the show, the cabin is quite a bit taller, and the side windows, rear side windows, and doors have gotten some edits as well.

As far as power is concerned, the new 2 + 2 plug-in hybrid sports coupe will combine an electric motors that sends 130-hp to the front wheels and a new 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder standard gasoline engine that sends 220-hp to the rear wheels. If that doesn't sound like much power to you, it's important to keep in mind that the model's lightweight material will allow it to reach 0-62mph in less than five seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

The BMW i8 will make its world premiere in 2013 and will go on sale sometime in 2014.
