The  BMW X6 has earned a reputation as a sports activity vehicle (SAV) that delivers the brawn of an SUV and catch-me-if-you-can spirit of a sports car, in a drop-dead gorgeous body defined by Marilyn-Monroe-inspired curves. For the 2012 model year, the BMW X6 also features a two-door variant, which is hailed among consumers and industry experts as the world's first-ever sports activity coupe.  As BMW has worked to make the X6 more and more exceptional with each passing model year, the question on the minds of many is: What will 2013 bring?

[Dealer] is happy to report that the Bavarian automaker has recently revealed some initial images of, and specs surrounding, the refreshed 2013 BMW X6 SAV. And, we think you'll be very impressed.

For the 2013 model year, the BMW X6 SAV's curves get a little sharper - but only a little. Also, to exaggerate the wide stance of the vehicle, BMW has shifted the fog lights from the center of the outer air inlets to the upper corners and set them in a matte finish. And to lend a slightly more sporty vibe to the X6, BMW has tweaked the front kidney grille some.

A few things you'll be happy to know the BMW X6 will retain for the 2013 model year: intelligent all-wheel drive and dynamic performance control. As for what's under the hood, that remains to be seen. Perhaps BMW will make some upgrades to the current 300-400 hp available in the 2012 BMW X6 xDrive35i  and  X6 xDrive50i respectively. But if you ask us, up to 500 hp is pretty good for an exotic sports car, let alone an AWD SAV.
