In London this year, some of the most experienced, strongest and fastest of athletes will compete for coveted Olympic gold. One of the things the London Organization Committee, the collective responsible for planning the event's logistics, has been mulling over is VIP transportation. VIP transportation will give rides to many powerful individuals from across the globe that attend the games. Rightfully so, after a bit of deliberation and even considering public transportation, the committee decided on a new fleet of sleek BMWs.

Many green maniacs out here are scoffing at the decision, alleging the Committee should have VIPs use the subway instead. We ask all of the VIPs out there: Would you want to ride to the Olympic games by way of underground rail? Even drivers who simply imagine life as a VIP would likely opt to avoid the crowded cars and grime.

Putting differences aside, the Olympics are a time to impress, which is why BMW of Sioux Falls is proud to see BMW not only sponsor the games, but be named the official VIP car. To ensure, VIPs don't get bogged down by traffic during their visit to the city, the Committee has even reserved 30 miles of roads around London, exclusively for the fleet of BMW cars.

Exactly which BMW cars is the German automaker sending to London? Primarily the new BMW 3 Series and new BMW 5 Series. There will be a total of 4,000 BMWs total - all of which meet the Committee's stringent CO2-emission guidelines. And, 200 of the 4,000 vehicles will be electric...which may put accusations that this decision was not "green-oriented" to rest.
