Remember at the end of last year, when luxury automaker BMW and everyday automaker Toyota signed an agreement in which Bimmer would gain hybrid acumen and the Cylindrical T - a new, diesel dimension to their European market?

How could you forget, right? Such an alliance is history-making.

The detail even the most dedicated BMW news hounds might have forgotten, however,  was that both companies left the proverbial window open to future collaborations.

Now, with "several projects" in "other fields of cooperation" in the works, it looks like they're about to thrown it wide open.

According to Der Spiegel magazine, Norbert Reithofer, Chief Executive, Toyota and Akio Toyoda, President, Toyota are planning to announce more finite details in the imminent future.

We don't know about you, but all of us at BMW of Sioux Falls are very excited to see exactly what "other fields" BMW and Toyota are planning to cooperate on beyond hybrid and diesel powerplants. Will it be a new safety technology? …Maybe some new green technology the industry has never seen before?

We know, we know. It's safer not to assume. Whatever it is, we're sure it will be great and invite to you stay tuned as BMW of Sioux Falls serving Sioux Falls, SD, brings you all of the juicy details as they become available.
