The 65th annual Frankfurt Motor Show is right around the corner. And, at said show, Bavarian automaker, BMW, is slated to debut its brand-new, highly-anticipated i8 plug-in hybrid supercar.

Part of BMW's Project i, the i8 plug-in hybrid (and its counterpart the i3 EV) are next-generation BMW models which help foster BMW's goal to provide quality mobility / sustainability while still offering the sophistication and premium luxury associated with new BMW models.

And, for those of you wondering if such models will be popular here in Sioux Falls, SD when they become available, you should know that reputed source, Automotive News Europe is citing the largest markets for the i8 to be the U.S., United Kingdom and BMW's home country, Germany.

The biggest out of these three? The United States.

In fact, the German edition of Automotive News Europe published an interview with BMW i8 product manager, Hendrik Wenders, who states confidently that "the U.S. will be by far the largest sales market for the i8."1.

The BMW i8 is set to be available in around nine months (also according to Wenders) and the BMW i3 all-electric auto just had its official launch a little bit ago. We at BMW of Sioux Falls are quite excited for the launch of the i8 as well as its official reveal at the Frankfurt show, soon.
