We know that the bar set for new BMW cars by brand enthusiasts is set high. And, you won’t be surprised that we surpass that bar every year. How? By not fixing things that aren’t broke. Confused? Take the BMW X5 for example. Minimal changes have been made to the overall design of the model ever since it was first introduced to drivers in 1999.

The 2014 model is not straying away from a minimal changes either. Currently the X5 is in production and some not-to-be-named sources have viewed spy shots that have shown very subtle updates that do nothing too drastic to risk its winning formula.

Intrigued to find out the small updates? Check out our list of new features reported after our secret sources have had a look.

  • The side profile, still very unchanged, is slightly boxier in rear.
  • The rising sidebody crease is sharper and angled slightly downward.
  • The front-end grille is more blunt, with headlamps that streamline right into the kidney grille.

But what we are most excited to share, are the features staying: its L-shaped taillights and dual exhaust.

The 2014 BMW X5 looks quite promising as it does since 1999. Of course, we are very intrigued to view the inside, which our spy cameras have not been able to provide us with information. Those details will likely have to wait for more of an official reveal.

Your best bet to keep on top of the full reveal is to follow our blog!
