At BMW of Sioux Falls we always have a nice flow of drivers coming to our lot to check out our beautiful selection of used cars available.

Even though we have our busy used car days, it's nothing compared to the popular used car exhibit that took place in a muddy, packed field in pastoral Nebraska recently.

To help understand more about this event, it was actually an auction for one of the largest collections of vintage Chevrolet models, in the country.

This event attracts such a large croup because it not only appeals to the U.S. auto enthusiast,  but also collectors and lovers of history, of which the American automobile industry is a huge part.

The collection in the spotlight belonged to a man named Ray Lambrecht who was a Chevrolet dealer in the local Nebraska area for over 50 years. Over one million dollars was collected to pay for the precious used autos, the day the auction took place. An example of a model that sold was a Chevrolet Cameo from 1958 with just 1.3 miles on it. The price it brought was $140,000.

Most cars sold at this action were in great shape due to proper storage, which you can only expect from a auto enthusiast. If you would like some tips on how to keep your vehicle running in top condition, our team at BMW of Sioux Falls suggest remembering to keep up with your routine car service appointments.
