The responsive handling from the M models’ suspension comes from the adaptive M Series suspension available for all M models. The suspension uses sensors to monitor all aspects of the road and put the choice of performance level at the fingertips of the driver.

The powerful BMW engine in the M models contributes to the quick take-offs and high speeds you can experience in the M model. The turbocharged 3.0 L straight-six engine produces 363 hp at 6,500 rpm. The torque number comes in at 343 lb/ft from 1400 to 5,560 rpm, while an over-boost sucks air into the engine allowing the M Model to take off like a jet whenever the driver wants. The over-boost feature can increase the torque to 368 lb/ft between 1,450–4,750 rpm.
