Tire rotation evens out the wear on a set of tires. Tires in the front of a vehicle wear differently than tires in the rear. This is because they are used differently. The ideal thing to do is take the tires and move them around on a regular basis, evening out the wear. This will make for a smoother and safer ride as well.

It is difficult to remember to have your tires rotated. The superlative thing to do would be to get it done when you change your oil, so you will never forget. And it gets two jobs…
