While sports sedans are highly sought after, there are a near equal amount that find that a two-door model scratches the itch better. So when BMW announced that it was discontinuing the storied 3 Series coupe in favor of a 4 Series coupe, many were skeptical. It's been two years since it debuted, and it continues to prove the detractors wrong.

For generations, drivers looking for a luxury sport sedan with exciting driving dynamics, upscale appointments, and a dash of pure Bavarian prestige have opted for the BMW 3 Series. In 2016, that hasn't changed. Not only is this sedan still a perennial favorite in its segment, it still offers all the options that endeared it to the public in the first place.

BMW's all-new 2016 340i replaces the outgoing 335i four-door sport sedan, and while generally similar in look and feel, BMW's engineers have tuned up 340i for an even better driving experience.
